Since his youth, Kurt Munghen has had a passion for refrigeration technology.
One day, a question came from a professional corner asking if he could repair a pool heat pump.
Since almost no refrigeration companies with this specific expertise existed, Kurt decided to look into this further.
So he and his partner, Ellen De Pauw, started a business specializing in the repair and maintenance of pool heat pumps.
Due to his thorough technical knowledge and extensive practical experience, Kurt also had the opportunity to carry out new research and development activities as a consultant for renowned brands of pool heat pumps.
This allowed Kurt to further immerse himself in improving the technology from the early stage of development through to production.
Ellen initially began her career in the healthcare sector.
Although this suited her caring nature well, she gradually became fascinated with pool heat pumps as well.
With the idea of ensuring efficient maintenance, she successfully launched Gridsoap and Yumisoap, both custom maintenance products for heat pumps and air conditioners.

With 15 years of experience in pool heat pumps, Kurt saw both the good and bad features of a standard pool heat pump.
Some of the disadvantages are mainly the seasonal effect, limited efficiencies and a moderate price/quality ratio.
This motivated Kurt to use all his knowledge to make a difference and develop a swimming pool heat pump that is more sustainable and ecological, and one that can heat swimming pool water efficiently and cost-effectively all year round.
